Abstract

Five children with abdominal non-Hodgkin's lymphomas(NHL)of different stages were reviewed.One case admitted as acute abdomen underwent laparotomy.The tumor was totally resected and chemotherapy was given postoperatively.The prognosis was good.Two cases diagnosed by lymph node biopsy received chemotherapy only.Their prognosis was fair.The prognosis was poor in the rest with delayed diagnosis and had the tumor partially removed without chemotherapy.The authors state that the treatment of children's abdominal NHL is based on early pathological diagnosis,total resection and adjuvant chemotherapy.
