Abstract

The period of Ilkhanids is the most important for the Islamic sect history. In this period, the Shiism, first time, became the offical sect in Iran. The Shiites supported the Ilkhandis in the proces of the eliminating of the Abbasid caliphate. Shiites's perception of the Mongols is more positive than Sunnis's perception. For this reasan, they could easily have become part of the Ilkhanids state. The fall of Baghdad, has influenced the course of the Shiite-Sunni relations. But the biggest gap between Sunnis and Shiites has took place after the acceptance of the Shia by Oljeitu and making it the state's official sect in Iran. The changes of the original structure of the adhan, iqamah and friday khutbah that were made by Oljeitu, are the major cause of the unrest in the society.The influence of the Shia in the management, has led to be an increase conflicts between Shia and Sunni in the next process. Actually, Some of the reasons for the conflict are inherited from the past. Because, the basis of some conflicts in the streets of Baghdad extends to period Buyids. In this period, there have been conflicts between Sunni sects. Sometimes the Sunni sects, while fighting each other, have made an alliance with the Shiites
