Abstract

Aldosterone blockade in severe heart failure (HF) and post-infarction HF reduces mortality and strongly reduces sudden cardiac death (SCD). Its benefit in chronic moderate HF and in those moderate HF patients with an implantable defibrillator (ICD) is unknown.
