Abstract

Background: Audit of nursing documentation found that standards on pain assessment were not being met when measured against national quality care metrics. Face-to-face supportive education was impacting on staff and clinical nurse specialist (CNS) workload. Further education was needed to support nursing staff of the 12 identified units. The aim of the study was to identify the effectiveness of the delivery of supportive pain assessment education utilizing a digital platform in the hospital setting.
