Abstract
The normal Auger spectrum of the C2H2 molecule, measured far above the C 1s threshold by Kivimäki et al (1997 J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. Phys. 30 4279), has been calculated by analysing separately the spectral contributions due to the decay processes from the gerade and ungerade carbon 1s core-hole states.
