Abstract

At its Annual Meeting in February, the American Association of Physics Teachers conferred Distinguished Service Citations on four outstanding contributors to physics education: Robert Karplus, University of California, Berkeley; Morris R. Lerner, Barringer High School, Newark; Frank Oppenheimer, the Exploratorium, San Francisco; and Gerard Piel, President and Publisher of Scientific American. The presentations were made by Robert N. Little, retiring past President of the Association.
