Abstract

DALLAS — Health care reform might have failed in Congress, but U.S. children will reap the benefits of AAP legislative efforts to improve their access to health insurance, AAP Immediate Past President Betty Lowe, M.D., said during her 1994 Annual Meeting address. The Academy did all it could, this past year, to initiate meaningful change for children and the health care they receive. That9s why health care reform9s recent defeat, or temporary setback, depending on who you believe, disappoints us greatly.
