Figure. No caption available. It is my pleasure to make introductory remarks to the presentation of the Association's Award for Meritorious Contribution to Neuropathology to Dr. Fusahiro Ikuta. Dr. Ikuta graduated from Niigata University School of Medicine in Japan in 1955. After his internship, he joined the Neurosurgical Department of Niigata University established by Dr. Mizuho Nakata. He soon became more interested in neuropathology than neurosurgery. He came to America to receive training in neuropathology from Dr. Zimmerman's Neuropathology Department at Montefiore Hospital in 1960. Dr. Ikuta has been an active member of AANP since 1964 and his first presentation at the annual meeting of AANP received the Weil Award in 1964. …
