Abstract

We analyze left-truncated and right-censored (LTRC) data using Aalen’s linear models. The integrated square error (ISE) is used to select an optimal bandwidth of the weighted least-squared estimator. We also consider a semiparametric approach for the case when the distribution of the left-truncated variable is parameterized. A simulation study is conducted to investigate the performance of the proposed estimators. The approaches are illustrated with the data of Stanford heart transplant.
