Abstract
Weight regain after weight loss surgery (WLS) is a common and significant concern for patients and providers. Many of the concerns facing WLS patients related to weight regain post-surgery have behavioral and psychological components. However, the majority of patients do not attend behavioral medicine (BMED) follow-up appointments, despite its association with weight loss maintenance. Innovative treatment models are needed to reduce barriers to treatment. The current study aims to examine the feasibility and acceptability of an integrated behavioral medicine consult service within a bariatric surgery clinic.
