Abstract
Authors have proposed evaluation method for characteristics of thermal deviation caused by various feed motions including swing motion in multi-task machine. However, the motion in proposed test method includes the one needed to measure the thermal deviations in addition to the motion for evaluation. Therefore, it is thought that the measurement result includes the thermal deviation caused by measuring cycle. Then, in this paper, we show that thermal deviation caused by measuring cycle is large so as not to be able to ignore it. And we clarify a method to evaluate characteristics of thermal deviation caused by only the feed motion that should be evaluated.
