Abstract
In this paper, one camera 3-dimensional PTV technique with three-color multi-layer sheet has been proposed and actual measurements are presented.An improved method is also proposed.The accuracy evaluation of the previous method is carried out by the uniform flow measurements. The wake flow of the model-scale ship was measured and compared with the velocity distribution measured by 5-hole pitot probe data. Good agreements are obtained between them.The improved technique that placed the multi-layer sheet of 3 colors without the clearance is proposed. The simulation data show that error vectors decrease significantly by this technique. The uniform flow velocity fields are measured to calibrate new method. The wake flow with undulating fin model is also measured and compared with the velocity distribution measured by LDV and calculated by CFD. Good agreements were obtained between them.
