Abstract
This thesis, focused on the ‘Hei(黑)’ of the Chinese Traditional Five Colors, and uses the contrastive analysis to study the similarities and differences between Chinese ‘Hei(黑)’ series and Korean ‘검다/까맣다’ series. First of all, from five aspects of etymology, dictionary interpretation, part of speech, word-formation and semantic features, the author studied the word-formation and semantic features of Chinese ‘Hei(黑)’ series and Korean ‘검다/까맣다’ series. Secondly, using metaphor and metonymy, interpreted the cognitive features of Chinese ‘Hei(黑)’ series and Korean ‘검다/까맣다’ series.
