Abstract

AbstractA wideband tri‐polarized water antenna is presented in this letter. Two orthogonal horizontal polarizations are realized by a water patch while one vertical polarization is realized by a water dielectric resonator antenna (DRA). To achieve wide impedance bandwidth and high isolation of the water patch, two pairs of L‐shaped probes with differential feeding technique are introduced. By adjusting the dimensions of the water patch and DRA properly, an overlapped bandwidth of 23.26% between three polarizations is achieved. Since the proposed antenna is mainly achieved by water of high optical transparency, it offers tremendous potential for future communication systems.
