Abstract
This paper presents a wide-band compact active magnetic antenna that used for Loran-C system. The antenna can be divided into magnetic antenna section and active circuit section. In the antenna part, this paper proposes a method of widening the bandwidth by reducing the loaded quality factor. A stagger-tuned amplifier is used to achieve the high SNR in the active circuit part. Finally, a Loran-C active magnetic antenna has been processed and tested at simulation environment. The bandwidth of the active antenna are 20 percent and the volume is $10\mathrm{cm}^{\ast}5\mathrm{cm}$ , respectively.
