Abstract
ABSTRACT THE design, calibration and accuracy of an electronic instru-ment for measuring, recording and displaying instantaneous tractor wheel slip is described. Photo elec-tric transducers are used to monitor ground speed and all the wheel speeds. Individual wheel speed read-ings are accurate to within 1 percent over the range of normal tillage operating speeds. The accuracy of the analog output of wheel slip displayed on an instrument panel meter is adequate for operator use.
