Abstract
The Engineering and Technology Board has joined forces with the BA (British Association for the Advancement of Science) to extend the annual National Science Week to become National Science and Engineering Week (NSEW). Working in partnership, the two organisations are aiming to broaden the scale and scope of the existing programme, and to celebrate the contribution engineering makes to society. The engineering institutions, including the Institution of Engineering and Technology, have pledged their support for the initiative, and it is hoped that some 500 engineering-related events will be organised during the NSEW, which runs from 19 March.
