Abstract
Water pollution is a serious environmental problem and is increasing the threat to public health. In the experiment, a cadmium metal organic framework (MOF) with high selectivity and stability and a low detection limit is used to detect Fe3+ and $$\text{MnO}_{4}^{-}$$ ions in an aqueous solution. Luminescence spectra measurements show that Cd–MOF can selectively and sensitively detect $$\text{MnO}_{4}^{-}$$ and Fe3+ ions in an aqueous solution with low detection limits of 0.08 μM and 2.1 μM, respectively.
