Abstract
A two-dimensional wake model for turbulence profiles is developed for (sharp-edged) bluff bodies based on similarity (self-preservation) and universality (different shapes). The method employs spectral filtering around the shedding peak and normalization by the local maximum longitudinal turbulence ( I um ) and by the corresponding lateral coordinate ( y m).
