Abstract

To analyze the transient electromagnetic scattering of the composite conducting dispersive dielectric objects, a discontinuous Galerkin time-domain method based on volume surface integral equation (VSIE) is investigated. Since triangular basis functions are used as the temporal basis functions, the dispersion convolution relations between the electric field and the volume polarization current can be handled analytically. Then in the spatial domain, the current on the non-conformal surface of perfect electrically conducting (PEC)objects is expanded by half-RWG basis functions, while the volume current in the non-conformal dielectric objects is expanded by the half-SWG basis functions. Several numerical examples are demonstrated with the proposed method to validate its flexibility and efficiency.
