Abstract

A volt–second (Vs) source intended for absolutely calibrating theintegrator in a pulsed field magnetometer (PFM) is designed and provento be with accurate rising and falling edges and reasonable loweruncertainty. A comparison experiment shows that the difference betweenthe magnetic fluxes generated respectively by the Vs source and themutual inductor is within ±0.04%. The PFM is then calibrated in anabsolute way of the Vs source. The calibrated PFM gives the measuredresults in good agreement with a static BH tracer supplied by NationalInstitute of Metrology of China and provides a convenient way ofstudying the effect of mathematic process on the dynamic measuringcurve of PFMs.
