Abstract

This submission is a descriptive account of the 2005 National EMS Memorial Service held in Roanoke Virginia to honor EMS personnel who have recently experienced line of duty deaths. Included is a brief history of the National EMS Memorial, a description of the service, anda list of the honorees, including two from the authors EMS agency. In addition the impact of the service on the survivors of the honorees andthe commitment of those who operate andsupport the memorial is briefly described.
