Abstract

Under the pressure of global technological, social and economic changes, manufacturing enterprises require to invest in the advanced training of their employees. The technological basis for new forms of training and knowledge sharing concepts is created by advances in information and communication technology (ICT) and human-computer interaction (HMI). The paper provides an overview about the vision on human-centered production from the perspective of the EU-FP7 project VISTRA. The relevant state-of-the-art for training and knowledge sharing systems is described and the future trends and requirements are anticipated. On the example of the vehicle industry the qualification requirements are stated and transferred into two visionary systems for knowledge-delivery and skill transfer.
