Abstract
Describes a system that provides a work-at-home environment based on a virtual shared room built on a 3D graphics workstation. We realize an awareness space on the system to avoid the tradeoff between providing a facility for informal communication and keeping one's workspace information private from other people's awareness. Also, this system provides users with a feeling of their presence at a virtual office by using a so-called around view and sound effects.
