Abstract

In this paper, two compact bandstop waveguide filters are investigated. The first structure is made of Double Split Ring Resonators (DSRR) and conventional quarter wavelength line inverters. Further decrease in the filter's size is achieved by replacing the inverters by a conductive strip which makes the length of filter half of its lambda/4 counterpart. An experimental model for the conductive strip inverter is introduced. Full wave simulation results for both structures are presented which show a very good agreement with theoretical design.
