Abstract
The expression or regulation of multiple genes in a metabolic pathway is an important approach for enhancing and adding value to production in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. However, few methods for such an approach have been reported. Here, we describe a novel method for multi-gene co-expression in C. reinhardtii, using the vector pJDHSP. With this vector, multi-gene expression cassettes can be easily constructed in vitro by simple digestion and ligation. Using this vector, we successfully co-expressed codon-optimized luciferase and GFP genes.
