Abstract

We use a variational perturbative method for the calculation of the energy levels of impurity magnetopolarons in parabolic quantum wires. The method is reasonable for all electron-phonon coupling α, all Rydberg constant R , all parabolic frequency ω and all cyclotron frequency ω c . The ground state and first excited state energies are computed by the method and their dependence on α, R , ω and ω c is discussed.
