Abstract
The goal of this paper is to show that the thermodynamic properties, as the vapour pressure of non-polar (non-simple) fluids can be directly obtained following a simple perturbative scheme using a first order (linear) expansion. For this, a Lennard-Jones (LJ) fluid is used as reference system, using the acentric factor (Pitzer, 1977) and the critical compressibility as perturbative parameters. Finally, a Lee-Kesler expression (Lee and Kesler, 1975) is used as the analytical expression of the reference vapour pressure and of the perturbative functions.
