Abstract

Abstract A valve made principally from polychlorotrifluoroethylene (Kel-F) is described. Most of the threaded parts of the valve are made from brass. Features of the valve, compared with previous similar designs, are that less of the expensive material, Kel-F, is used, the use of a massive Teflon gland gives a better seal, and the fabrication time of the valve has been reduced.
