Abstract

The general fluctuation theory of light scattering by multicomponent systems is applied to a solution of surfactant and added salt. In contrast to earlier treatments, which are restricted to solutions containing univalent ions, the present theory embraces polyvalent surfactant, co-, and counter ions. Working equations for the calculation of micellar aggregation number and micellar charge are developed.
