Abstract

Abstract In this article, we propose the study of an ultra-wide band antenna with the possibility of reconfigurable band rejection. The stopped bands are obtained by the incorporation of periodic structures SSR. Inserting an equivalent switch model (ON or OFF) in these rings that we have placed near the feed line causes the rejection of different frequencies in the UWB band. The use of this technique can reduce interference between the UWB band defined by the FCC in 2002 and operate technologies in the same band. The suggested antenna is compact in size (36mm * 18mm * 1.6mm), printed on a substrate of relative permittivity 4.4 and loss tangent 0.02. The study of the antenna was made by the electromagnetic simulation software CST.
