Abstract

A graduate school of social work and a private alternative school for drop-outs collaborated to develop an intervention program. Social work services were integrated into the curriculum with teachers and social workers operating as an interdisciplinary team. Approximately 66% of the students showed positive gains as measured by a variety of instruments. Early results suggest that the model shows promise as an effective intervention program for disordered youth who are school drop-outs.
