Abstract

This paper presents a unification of multivariable model reference adaptive control (MRAC) based on LDU, SDU and LDS decompositions of high frequency gain matrices of controlled systems. A unified framework for system parametrizations, controller structures, error models, adaptive laws and stability analysis is developed for both discrete-time and continuoustime MRAC systems. New SDU and LDS based discrete-time adaptive control schemes are given to complete the unified multivariable MRAC theory.
