Abstract
Incorporation of a thin two-layered extended cylinder in an open quasi-optical microwave resonator is considered. Changes in the resonant frequency and bandwidth of the odd fundamental resonator modes are found. Results of calculations of the characteristics of the open resonator for x-band with radially non-uniform superthin wires (microwire) are presented.
