Abstract
A method for the parameter estimation of linear discrete time transfer function models is described and examples of its performance demonstrated. The data used in the examples is test case data proposed for the IFAC Symposium, The Hague, 1973 and the IFAC Congress, Boston, 1975. The 2-step method is shown to give improved estimates over other known results for these test cases.
