Abstract

One of the most limiting experimental drawbacks in ruby laser holography and holographic interferometry is that experiments normally have to be performed in darkness. This is due to the fact that the photosensitive materials must not be exposed to background light. To overcome this, a closed holocamera with optical shutters has been designed, constructed and tested. The closed camera system allows the registration and processing of holograms without reducing the normal level of background light illumination.
