Abstract

AbstractOne planar dual‐mode bandpass filter with circle‐type patch and square slot is simulated, fabricated, and measured using an Al2O3 substrate. The circle‐type patch and microstrip lines are fabricated through copper evaporation. The square slot is used to shift the resonant frequency, and the resonant frequency is shifted to lower frequency as slot size increases. Our measured results show that square‐slot‐modified dual‐mode bandpass filters present a number of attractive features for practical application. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
