Abstract

A second-order multibit EA A/D converter which uses a simple and fast digital correction scheme is presented. A correlateddouble-sampling fully-differential integrator is used in which the opamp needs only a low slew rate and moderate bandwidth for a baseband frequency of 20.5 kHz and a sampling rate of 5.25 MHz. The modulator, fabricated in a 2p CMOSprocess, shows a S/(N-tD) of 95 dB with an oversampling ratio of only 128 using the new system.
