Abstract

Design of an offset coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed triple-band dual-polarized compact square slot antenna (SSA) using offset rectangular patch with C-shaped stub is presented in this paper. Two resonance frequency bands at 1.56/2.55 GHz and dual-frequency wideband are achieved with the help of integrated C-shaped stub with rectangular radiator SSA. By selecting an appropriate offset and embedded C-shaped stub at suitable location on rectangular patch, it is likely to generate two orthogonal current components that are out of phase by 900 thus forming circular polarization (CP). The antenna exhibit a 41.4% (2.56 GHz, 4.90–7.46 GHz) 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth (ARBW) and −10 dB impedance bandwidths (IBWs) of 5.16% (80 MHz, 1.51–1.59 GHz), 24.5% (660 MHz, 2.36–3.02 GHz), and 63.14% (4.06 GHz, 4.4–8.46 GHz).
