Abstract

Sometimes decision makers might only provide information with linguistic preferences during decision making processes in ranking all alternatives according to relative criteria. To deal with such cases, effective decision making methods must be utilized. In this paper, such problem of group decision making (GDM) with linguistic preference information is studied. Based on triangular fuzzy number and generalized induced ordered weighted averaging (GIOWA) operator, an approach to GDM with linguistic preference information is proposed. Finally, an illustrative numerical example is employed to illustrate the feasibility and practicality of the proposed approach.
