Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of online parent training programs for caregivers of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Five caregivers participated in an online program including lectures, group discussion, and conference with parent mentor. Self-reported scales were used to measure depression, parenting stress, parenting attitudes, and knowledge of behavioral principles. Results revealed that the program could not be effective enough for reducing depression and parenting stress and improving parenting attitudes and knowledge on behavioral principles in caregivers.
