Abstract

• Cr contents are modelled by EFT. • M-T curves are obtained. • TIM is very successful for the lower Cr contents. • Critical transverse fields are obtained vs Cr contents. Effects of chromium (Cr) contents on ferromagnetic properties of the Heusler alloy are modeled and analyzed by using the effective field theory (EFT) in the context of the transverse Ising model (TIM). Temperature dependent results due to variations in magnetization and Curie temperature are provided. The bridge constant between EFT and experimental magnetization is obtained as k=140. It is shown that the theoretical results of magnetization match with the experimental results reported by Shen et al. for a certain critical transverse field. Cr content effects on the transverse field.
