Abstract

In this study, a transformer less quadratic buck-boost converter has been proposed. Quadratic form of voltage ratio has made it capable to obtain a wide range of output voltage. Other feature which has been concentrated is voltage stress of switches. It has been tried to decrease voltage stress of second switch. Moreover, two other quadratic buck-boost converter with similar properties to proposed one have been compared and have illustrated that the voltage stress of second switch in proposed converter is lower. Mathematical relations of efficiency have been expressed. Moreover, small signal analysis of proposed converter has been discussed and its bode diagram has been reported. All the mentioned analysis are done in Continuous Conduction Mode. Finally, simulation results of proposed converter which have been obtained by PLECS simulation engine, have been reported and discussed according to theoretical relations.
