Abstract
A training program in advanced technology in the anatomic sciences is being offered by the Department of Anatomic Pathology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. This program is part of a baccalaureate program offered by the Center for Health Sciences at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Students spend the last year of a fouryear baccalaureate program at the hospital, where they receive training in histologic technique, immunofluorescence microscopy, electron microscopy and cytogenetics. This program prepares students to perform the more advanced morphologic techniques in histopathology used in hospitals and biomedical research laboratories.
