Abstract
Abstract Simplified adaptive control (SAC) is a kind of direct model reference adaptive control, and based on command generator tracker (CGT) theory. This paper shows that if a plant has no zero at z = 1, it is possible to accomplish output tracking by use of SAC algorithm for step input. A conventional condition on reference model is removed. We give sufficient conditions for output tracking of a known plant and prove the asymptotic stability of SAC algorithm by use of the ideal curves.
