Abstract
A heat labile toxic protein of 25,000 molecular weight was isolated ( ld 50 0.85 mg/kg. i.p. injection into mice) from the pedicellariae of the sea urchin Tripneustes gratilla. Pretreatment of the mice with antihistaminics did not prevent the toxic effects.
