Abstract

In the clinical chemistry laboratory, sporadic requests for copper and arsenic trickle in, occasionally done in-house and other times sent out to reference laboratories. It was a sunny day, the birds were chirping in the nearby park, and there was but a fresh gentle breeze. I remember on 4th May 2018, I had plans to go fishing after work with two colleagues, an emergency physician and a psychiatrist. They were joking about it earlier that week in the staff canteen with the expression “may the fourth be with you.” But still, it was to us just a day like any other day.
