Abstract

A piezoresistive tactile sensor with very compact circuitry based on only one integrated chip has been created by colleagues at the University of Málaga in Spain. Their design uses a single programmable system-on-chip (PSoC) for the signal conditioning, rather than standard microcontrollers, making it suitable for space-restricted applications such as artificial hands.
