Abstract

Commercially pure titanium and its structural alloys do not always satisfy the requirements of chemical machine-building. Chemical industry often needs materials of a higher corrosion resistance to be supplied. The Ti-Ni-Zr alloys are stable in hot salt solutions in which commercially pure titanium is subject to crevice corrosion.
