Abstract

This paper proposes a new algorithm for BSS in the time domain. The method determines the separating matrix so that certain nonlinear cross correlations among the separator's outputs become zero. The problem of computation time is solved by applying the Newton method and transforming the derived algorithm into the frequency-domain problem. The transformation is just to reduce the computation time and the size of variables; the signals themselves are not transformed into the frequency domain. An effective technique is introduced to enhance robustness of the proposed approach.
